Technical training
In this course, police agency technicians will learn BMW Motorrad Service and Maintenance procedures as it relates to BMW Authority motorcycles. Technicians will learn BMW Motorrad terminology and nomenclature, how to source technical information (including Repair Instructions, Service Bulletins, and Wire Diagrams) and how to look up spare parts.
Unique maintenance procedures are reviewed and performed via practical classroom workshop exercises. Students gain valuable knowledge of the BMW Diagnostic System available to them and common service repair procedures including clutch replacement, valve adjustment and reading/resetting fault codes are reviewed and carried out by each participant in workshop exercises. Authority vehicle electronic systems are also reviewed and presented to the participants of the program to enable each technician to effectively locate the electrical troubleshooting resources.
