AFTER A THREE YEAR SEARCH, A SINGLE CHOICE: BMW 1250 RT-P
The North Palm Beach Police Department is always committed to providing the highest quality of Police services to the community. With that in mind the search for the motorcycle that best suited their needs lasted three years.
They requested two separate evaluation opportunities that allowed them to test the technological advancements and safety features that are key to their operation. It was an in-depth analysis that addressed concerns such as high-speed wobble but also gave them data regarding braking capability and top speed.
At the conclusion of their testing the BMW R 1250 RT-P was chosen as the best motorcycle to do the job. The R 1250 RT-P performed with a high level of precision in every category.
My favorite aspects of the bike are that it is engineered by BMW and not engineered by a dealer. Having this allows all your equipment to run without causing battery issues (i.e., computer running, printer on, radar on, and the police radio on). The bike does not die, it can handle the electrical load, allowing it to stay in operation.
